Example of an extreme close up:

This shot is a perfect example of how we want our character to look in our trailer; sweating, focused eyes, over tired and messy hair. These up close conventions will easily make our target audience understand our characters situation based on this cinematography which will hopefully grip our audience. What is also brilliant about this image is that the person in view looks of similar age to our character making the image even more realistic of our expectations.
Example of an establishing shot:
The types of establishing shots that we will use in our trailer will be of huge open spaces in a dark abandoned areas. We wanted to show this effect to convey the idea that everything in our characters world is falling apart around him which will create stresses that will contribute to his deterioration.
Example of a wide shot

In the context of this image the man is seen looking directly at the camera lens with snow all around him. A wide shot focuses on something whilst also showing how the background imagery connects to what the lens is focusing on. This is significant for our trailer as we are aiming to use pathetic fallacy to give a sombre moodiness to our characters surroundings, thus creating worry for our audience.
